Whistler will host the alpine and Nordic venues for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Our condos are slope-side, below the skeleton and luge runs. Enjoy the Olympics from a premier central location. Contact us for rates or to make a reservation.

Whistler is the perfect year-round vacation destination, with over 90 wonderful restaurants and pubs, three wonderful spas, a vibrant night life, and over 200 retail shops. The drive from Vancouver to Whistler is approximately 120 km (75 miles) along the “Sea to Sky Highway”, offering magnificent views of the ocean, snow-capped mountains, seven glaciers, and outlying islands. Whistler is also accessible by Heli-Jet all year, float plane in the summer, and soon, by high-speed train.

Nestled in Canada’s Coastal Mountains, Whistler has been recognized as the Top Ski Resort in North America for the past 6 years. Whistler Blackcomb Resort has the largest ski area on the continent: over 28,000 hectares (just over 7,000 acres) of skiing area, with over 200 marked trails (the longest is 7 miles) and 12 massive Alpine bowls. A total of 33 lifts including three gondolas and several high-speed quad chairs provide a lift capacity of 59,000 skiers per hour, minimizing time spent in lift lines. With a base elevation of only 2214 feet (675 metres) and peak elevation of 7494 feet (2284 metres), visitors are not prone to altitude sickness experienced in most other ski resorts. The terrain is 25-30% expert, 55% intermediate, and 15-20% beginner. Our guests can ski in or out to either Whistler or Blackcomb Mountain from Woodrun Lodge, which has a heated sidewalk from the back door to the slope.

Typically, the ski season opens in late November, with Blackcomb Mountain closing in mid-April, while Whistler Mountain remains open until early June. The glacier on Blackcomb Mountain usually reopens in June for summer skiing/snowboarding through August.

Summer offers golfing, glacier-skiing/boarding (weather dependent), hiking, biking, mountain biking, beaches, kayaking, whitewater rafting, outdoor dining, and barbeques on the mountaintop. The Upper Village is a hub of summer activities, including luge rides, bungee and trapeze activities, a maze, miniature golf, horseback riding, a Sunday market, and much more. A popular activity is the ZipTrek, an eco-adventure tour with a zipline allowing you to “fly” over Fitzsimmons Creek & the spectacular forest valley between Whistler & Blackcomb Mountains.

After a perfect day of skiing, snowboarding, golfing, hiking, biking, kayaking, or an afternoon at one of Whistler’s fabulous spas, you can fully relax in our large heated outdoor pool or hot tub or the “soaking tub” in our spa-like master bathroom (Woodrun 410 and 510 only), rent a movie at the front desk, or read in the comfort of our quiet suite.
